Multi-Media Digital Presentations
Our presentations differ significantly from the old "family style" slide shows of the past. They use modern computer techniques with multiple sound tracks for narration and background music, pan and zoom effects ala "Ken Burns" (Jazz, Baseball, The Civil War on PBS) , animation, and even movie clips.
The shows run 35 - 45 minutes. We introduce them with background information and anecdotes of our personal experiences. The shows are followed by a question and answer period. Large format photographic prints of some of the scenes in the show are displayed and discussed. Total program time is one hour to an hour and a half.
Some of the places were visited a number of years ago, but the magnificient natural and man-made attractions have not changed. To keep our programs current during our introduction, we discuss events that may have changed life in that country since our visit. In some case where significant physical changes have occured we have "imported" videos or images to illustrate the chnages.
Our programs have been presented at numerous Libraries, Y's and assisted living facilities on Long Island.
